Pope Leo XIV has proclaimed a Special Year of St. Francis running from January 10, 2026, to January 10, 2027, to mark the 800th anniversary of the saint’s death (October 3, 1226). This Franciscan Jubilee includes a plenary indulgence for pilgrims visiting Franciscan sites.

The Jubilee is an opportunity for the faithful to rekindle their faith, strengthen their relationship with God and with the community of the Church.
