FAQ’s
What is the cost?
The Diocese of Boise is covering the cost for the first year if you sign up by September, 2025. After this initial year the pricing is as follows:
Small Parish: Less than 500 households/ $50 per month/ One-time conversion fee of $500
Medium Parish: Between 500-1000 households/ $75 per month/ One-time conversion fee of $750
Large Parish: Over 1000 households/ $125 per month/ One-time conversion fee of $1,250
*prices are based on total number of households that we convert into Camino.
Is this compatible with PowerChurch Accounting
The Camino team will create a report that you can export from Camino and import into PowerChurch accounting system. This will take away any need for manual entry of contributions between the two systems.
Is Camino secure?
Camino is built on Microsoft Azure and all of the award winning security of Microsoft is included in Camino. We pay extra each month for top notch security and do a daily backup of your entire database. Unlike local based databases that can be hacked through your local network, Camino is hosted on servers that have frequent security checks in place.
Will this help us do volunteer scheduling?
Diocesan can offer a full suite of ministry scheduling, facility scheduling, and Mass intentions scheduling at an additional cost. Let us know if you are interested in these additional products for your parish.
Will this replace our email software?
Camino allows you to create basic emails directly in the system and also integrates with Evangelus (at an additional cost) which is our communication platform at Diocesan. This allows you to create nicely designed emails and even send texts to your parishioners.
How long will the conversion take?
We strive to get your data out of your old system, cleaned, and imported into Camino within 1-2 weeks. During this time you will not be able to enter new contributions, make changes, or add families to your old database.
Does the system work for Catholic parishes?
Our system is built by Catholics for Catholics. We are a Catholic company whose main mission is serving the Church and we pride ourselves in our faith based software. Camino was built by a deacon so you will see many areas where Canon Law is applied.
