Your Bulletin During COVID-19
Your digital bulletin is more important than ever
Your Weekly Bulletin During These Uncertain Times
With the number of parishes being affected by state-wide closings and much lower Mass attendance, we want to make sure that you know that Diocesan is here working to make sure that your parishioners continue to have access to your digital bulletin.
During these uncertain times, it is vital to maintain good communication in your parish for the immediate and long term unity of your community and faith life of your parishioners. Your weekly bulletin remains an essential piece to your comprehensive communication plan. While you may require less printed copies or even no copies at all, there are a very large number of Catholics who now rely on the digital distribution of your bulletin as a way to stay informed of news and events in your parish community.
Understanding that your parish is busy focusing on many different issues related to the current situation, we put together this helpful reference to ensure that more of your parishioners continue to access your digital bulletin.
Bulletin Tips & Strategies
Don’t Ignore Your Bulletin
First and foremost, keep creating and sending your weekly bulletin. We have taken the necessary steps to make sure that your digital bulletin is still being distributed. If you have any questions regarding your bulletin service, please call us at 800-994-9817.
Your Digital Bulletin
As most Catholic parishes are no longer gathering for Mass, your digital bulletin is readily available and easily accessible. We make this easy by automatically uploading your bulletin to DiscoverMass.com, as well as your website and myParish app if you are also using those Diocesan services.
Catholics nationwide are accustomed to looking to these locations for access to your bulletin. Be sure that you are still present there. Let’s take a moment to look at some strategies with your digital bulletin.
Use the DiscoverMass bulletin mailing service
A vital service provided through DiscoverMass.com is the ability for visitors to receive your bulletin every single week via email. The service is free to everyone, and you don’t have to manage anything. We highly recommend that you encourage parishioners to locate your parish listing and subscribe to receive your bulletin with their email address.
myParish App and Your Bulletin
The myParish App keeps parishioners connected to your parish and their faith life. As a bulletin customer, we automatically upload your bulletin to your App, making it accessible to everyone using your App. You don’t have to take any additional steps. Just submit your bulletin like usual and we take care of this for you.
Encourage Parishioners to use your App
It is a good time to remind parishioners to download the myParish App to access your bulletin. Simply instruct your parishioners to text “app” to 88202 to download the App. Once installed, parishioners select your parish, and access is complete. We recommend reminding parishioners to download your App during Mass announcements, via email, on your website, and through your social networks.
Not Using myParish App?
The myParish App is free of charge to all Diocesan bulletin customers. If you are not currently using the App in your parish, please call us right away at 800-994-9817 for help getting started. We can work with you to have your App up and running very quickly.
In addition to accessing the bulletin, the myParish App provides a simple way to provide your parishioners’ access to the daily readings, prayers, streaming Mass, homilies, calendar, online giving and more. The important thing is that you are connecting with your parishioners when they are not able to visit the parish in the coming weeks.
Reduce the Number of Pages
The biggest request we have been receiving from parishes is to reduce the number of pages in the bulletin. With a large number of parish and public events being canceled or postponed, many parishes are struggling to fill their regular number of pages with fresh content. If you find this to be the case, please call us at 800-994-9817, and we can guide you how to accomplish this best.
Create a Multi-Week, Combined Bulletin
As more parishes are looking for ways to rethink their bulletin, many are creating a single bulletin to be used for multiple weeks. Just let us know in the comment section during the upload which weeks your bulletin is for and we will see to the rest.
The Last Resort – Let Us Build Your Bulletin
If you find yourself in the position of not having the resources to create a bulletin, please let us know. We can help you create a slimmed-down version of your bulletin that includes some necessary information. Such as Prayers for the Sick, Mass Intentions, a letter from Father or the Bishop, readings, announcements, information about how your parish is handling the current situation, emergency contact info, etc. Just provide us with some necessary content, and we will build the bulletin for you using one of our print-ready templates.
We Are Here

Novena Prayer to St. Rocco
O Great St. Rocco, deliver us, we beseech thee, from the scourges of God; through thy intercession, preserve our bodies from contagious diseases, and our souls from the contagion of sin. Obtain for us salubrious air; but, above all, purity of heart. Assist us to make good use of health, to bear suffering with patience; and, after thy example, to live in the practice of penance and charity, that we may one day enjoy the happiness which thou has merited by thy virtues.
St. Rocco, pray for us (say three times).
