With a childlike trust, I turn to the Blessed Mother, seeking her guidance as I work every day to grow closer toward Jesus. I know that many mysteries of faith will remain hidden from me on this side of heaven, but I also know God delights in revealing His heart to those willing to approach Him with humility. As today’s Gospel reminds us, “At that very moment he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, ‘I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.’” Those words encourage me whenever I begin to overthink faith instead of simply living it.

I often imagine Mary smiling patiently at me as I pray the Rosary, gently teaching me through each mystery. The Rosary has become one of my favorite devotions because it invites me into the life of Christ through the eyes of His mother. When life feels chaotic, uncertain, or heavy, those familiar prayers quiet my anxious heart and remind me that God is always at work, even when I cannot fully understand His plans.

Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C., also known as “The Rosary Priest”, said of the Blessed Mother, “Mary is my strength; she is my spirituality; she is my peace; she is my prayer; she is my purity; she is my sureness; she is my defense, my protection.” What a beautiful reminder that we never journey alone. Mary continually points us to Jesus, helping us trust Him more completely and surrender ourselves to the Father’s will with greater confidence.

The older I get, the more I realize holiness is not about having every answer. It is about remaining teachable before God. It is about approaching Him with the trusting heart of a child who believes her Father is good. Through Mary’s example, we learn that surrender is not weakness; it is love in action. May we allow Our Blessed Mother to guide us closer to Christ, trusting that every step of faithful obedience leads us nearer to heaven.
