All Saints Day - Message 1
All Saints' Day is a solemn holy day of the Catholic Church celebrated annually on November 1. The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven. All Soul's day commemorates all of the faithful departed, and offers us the opportunity to aid the poor souls in purgatory by our prayers and devotions. In fact, an indulgence for the souls in purgatory is granted to the faithful who devoutly visit a cemetery and pray for the departed.
