On this First Friday of the Month, as we contemplate the love of God found in the Sacred Heart, we are drawn into the depths of the Father’s boundless love. This Great God, worthy of our unwavering trust, extends an invitation for us to respond to His infinite love.
Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”
In these profound words, Jesus speaks directly to each of us, inviting us to place our trust in Him. His words resonate across time. His message is just as relevant to our lives today as it was when He first shared it. Amidst the complexities of our day-to-day Life, Jesus offers a clear direction—He is “the Way” to eternal Life. Jesus teaches Truth and is trustworthy, which is timeless. He extended an invitation for us to follow Him and gain the prize of eternal Life. God invites us to discover Him by encountering His Son, since they are one.
Revealing the Father: The Truth and the Life
Jesus declares that He is one with the Father, for to know Him is to know the Father. He is the embodiment of Truth, guiding us to see God, the Father, by encountering Jesus. “Whoever sees me sees the Father,” is a profound statement that unveils the divine connection between Jesus and the Father, and reflects their inseparable unity.
The Promise of Intercession and Glory
Jesus also extends a promise – whatever we ask in His name, He will do – ensuring the Father’s glorification through the Son. This pledge signifies the depth of the relationship between Jesus and the Father, demonstrating unity and purpose and the power of prayers offered in Jesus’ name.
As we reflect on Philip’s heartfelt plea – “Show us the Father” – we resonate with our own yearnings deep in our heart for conversion, healing, guidance, and assistance. Jesus invites us to embrace Him fully as the Way, the Truth, and the Life of our own lives, guiding us to the Father’s love and leading us on the path of holiness.
As we pause and reflect on today’s readings, we can draw strength from the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which is honored each First Friday of the month. Jesus shares His perfect love with us and invites us to be a living vessel of that love to others.
En este primer viernes del mes, al contemplar el amor de Dios que se encuentra en el Sagrado Corazón, somos atraídos a las profundidades del amor ilimitado del Padre. Este Gran Dios, digno de nuestra confianza inquebrantable, nos extiende una invitación a responder a su infinito amor.
Jesús dijo: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida”.
En estas profundas palabras, Jesús nos habla directamente a cada uno de nosotros, invitándonos a confiar en Él. Sus palabras resuenan a través del tiempo. Su mensaje es tan relevante para nuestras vidas hoy como lo fue cuando lo compartió por primera vez. En medio de las complejidades de nuestra vida cotidiana, Jesús ofrece una dirección clara: Él es “el Camino” a la Vida eterna. Jesús enseña la Verdad y es digno de confianza, que es atemporal. Revelando al Padre: La Verdad y la Vida
Jesús declara que Él es uno con el Padre, porque conocerlo es conocer al Padre. Él es la Verdad hecha carne, que nos guía a ver a Dios, el Padre, al encontrarnos con Jesús. “Quien me ve, ve al Padre”, es una declaración profunda que revela la conexión divina entre Jesús y el Padre, y refleja su unidad inseparable.
