Integrity / Integridad

It seems like everyone follows the rules of the road when they see a highway patrol vehicle is on the side of the road.

It’s easier to be faithful and holy when we receive a lot of consolation and good feelings when we pray.

We’re more prone to do good works when we get credit and praise for them.

It’s natural for us as humans to behave in this way. In today’s Gospel, though, Jesus reminds us that those in His kingdom act with integrity. They do the right thing whether or not they would get caught, feel good, or be praised. They are ready for Jesus’s coming at any time, perhaps because they are looking forward to it so much.

So today let us ask God for the strength to act with integrity in all we do, and to look forward to His Kingdom at all times.
