Share the Good News! / ¡Compartir la Buena Nueva!

How exciting, that we are called to share in the inheritance of God, being chosen to spread His message of love and hope! The word “Catholic” comes from a Greek word meaning “universal” or “spreading widely in the whole world”. First coined by St. Ignatius, the Church is universal because Christ is continuously present in her. As Catholics, we are called to have Christ within us, being filled with the Holy Spirit and being “not people of the book, but people of the living word.” We are not to live in passive reflection but active service amongst one another.

Who can you lead to Christ through sharing the Gospel? Make a goal of picking a person or group every year to speak to. Someday, when face to face with God after this life, He will ask us, who did you bring with you to heaven? 

Today, let us pray: “Lord, help us to go and make disciples. May others see Christ in each of us.” Amen!

¡Qué emocionante que seamos llamados a compartir la herencia de Dios, siendo elegidos para difundir su mensaje de amor y esperanza! La palabra “católico” proviene de una palabra griega que significa “universal” o “difundido ampliamente en todo el mundo”. Acuñada por primera vez por San Ignacio, la Iglesia es universal porque Cristo está continuamente presente en ella. Como católicos, estamos llamados a tener a Cristo dentro de nosotros, siendo llenos del Espíritu Santo y siendo no gente de un libro, sino gente de la palabra viva. No debemos vivir en una reflexión pasiva sino en un servicio activo entre nosotros.

¿A quién puedes compartir el Evangelio para llevarlo a Cristo? Haz la meta de elegir a una persona o grupo cada año para hablarles. Algún día, cuando estemos cara a cara con Dios después de esta vida, Él nos preguntará, ¿a quién trajiste contigo al cielo?

Hoy oremos: Señor, ayúdanos a ir y hacer discípulos. Que los demás vean a Cristo en cada uno de nosotros. ¡Amén!
